Arizona Land Rover Owners, in cooperation with The Overland Expo, is proud to offer our Overland to the Expo adventure. Directly following our 2012 Arizona Land Rover Rally, being held May 10th-13th in Cottonwood Arizona, we will lead a select group of explorers as we travel North to Monument Valley, Hunt’s Mesa, and Utah’s famous Hole in the Rock potion for the more adventurous souls.

Due to limited space and early anticipation for the trip, we are now offering 2 itineraries’s with something for everyone.

Itinerary #1 Hole in the Rock: $300

May 14th - May 18th

Leaving Cottonwood early on the morning of Monday, May 14th, we will head North to Monument Valley, where we will be led by our Navajo guide to Hunt’s Mesa, and spend the night with a million dollar view. The next morning we continue North to the shores of Lake Powell where we join famed 4x4 instructor Bill Burke (www.bb4wa.com ). Bill will lead the group of up to 15 vehicles on a 3-night journey through red-rock wonders, skirting the shores of Lake Powell, arriving at the famed Mormon missionary historic site. Once back to pavement at the end of an exciting week, the group will head South just in time to hit The Overland Expo.

Warning: This itinerary is difficult, dangerous, and not to be taken lightly. Minimum vehicle and equipment requirements must be met and pre-trail inspections will be completed before departure. Several long days of off-road driving required as well as several nights of self-sufficient camping, including packing out all waste.

Price is per vehicle.

Both itineraries are expected to fill up fast. Even though your registration and payment has been accepted, all spots may have already been reserved. If your registration was received after all spots were filled, you will receive a full refund. If Itinerary 2 still has open spots, you have the option of reserving a spot on that route and will be refunded the difference.

May 15th - May 18th

Leaving Cottonwood early on the morning of Tuesday, May 15th, we will head North to Monument Valley, where we will ascend Hunt’s Mesa, and spend the night with a million dollar view. The next morning our Navajo guide will lead the group of 15 vehicles through red-rock canyons, deserted washes, and explore Navajo ruins throughout the Monument Valley area. We will spend Wednesday night nestled among these amazing red-rock formations. The next morning we caravan North to explore yet another Navajo-area wonder, Valley of the Gods. Only topped by Monument Valley itself, this meandering trail through some of the most amazing scenery in the world will lead the group to it’s final evening camping location high atop a mesa looking down on the San Juan River. The next morning the group will head South and arrive just in time at The Overland Expo

Caution: This itinerary, although challenging, is not as technical and suited for most 4x4 vehicles with off-road or all-terrain tires. Several long days of on and off-road driving is required as well as several nights of self-sufficient camping, including packing out all waste.
