Hey Guys, I realize this is a 'news post', but I can't seem to find a forum on here. I'm an amateur photographer and hoping to ride out with someone and get some cool shots. I personally don't have a 4x4 (though I used to and am familiar with 4x4ing) One of your members, Chad, suggested that I could ride out with someone on your next run. What's the
best way to get in touch with someone here?

If interested, this is your chance to own a 1997 Land Rover Defender 90. This was the last year Land Rover ever built this type of vehicle. This vehicle will only go up in Value. This vehicle comes with the 4.0L V8 aluminum engine, automatic transmission, four wheel drive, factory A/C, power steering, custom installed CD player and speaker system, vinyl seats, factory alloy wheels, factory brush gruads. This is a nice, clean, well-optioned Defender 90 that runs and drives as good as it looks. You will notice that this vehicle has been well cared for. This is a hard to find Aries Blue hard top. - read more...

OK everyone, it's that time of year where we vote to elect the 5 council members for the club. Before providing the voting information, the council wanted to provide a summary of some of things that we accomplished this past year. We have grown in numbers and active members which could only be accomplished by so many of you stepping up and participating in events and welcoming our new members. Here are some of the accomplishments for 2009: - 17 New Members, bringing our paid membership number to 53
- Hugely successful 2nd Annual AZ Land Rover Rally
- 57 trucks and 106 participants
- 36 sponsors
- Donated $250 to each the St. Vincent De Paul in Phoenix and Tucson during the holidays with some of the proceeds received from the rally
- First Responder First Aid Training attended by 8 club members
- Excellent representation at the Sol Society National Rally in Leadville, CO
- Attendees to Rover Rendezvous in Death Valley
- AZLRO featured in Land Rover World Magazine (Oct 2008 "Phoenix Nights")
- Completed incorporation of the club to a not-for-profit organization

- Club Trail Runs planned and led by more different club members than ever before, including:
Jon Christensen
Pierre LeBlanc
Doug Lawyer
Matt White
Josh Jewett
Frank Rafka
Steve Kaufer
Steve Odgear
Mike McDonald
Jayson Stangel
Leo Martinez
- Four Peaks Clean Up Event
- Auto Jumble
We are always looking for more help and if you are interested in being considered for the council, please send an email out to the listing to let everyone know you are interested.
Here is the process that will be utilized to elect AZLRO council members for 2010. It is the same process as the last 2 years:
Each current club member will be allowed to vote by submitting up to 5 names for the AZLRO council. The five individuals with the most votes will be elected to the council. Koly will tally the votes. The voting will be allowed between 21 December 2009 and 08 January 2010. Please don't be bashful about letting others know you are interested in being on the council, but it is not required as part of the voting process.
SUBMIT YOUR VOTE VIA EMAIL TO THE DEDICATED VOTING EMAIL ADDRESS:
council@azlro.org
YOU MUST INCLUDE YOUR NAME WHEN SUBMITTING YOUR 5 VOTES OR YOUR INPUT WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE TALLY.
The list of eligible members for the council are included following the jump. If you have any questions, please email Leo at martinez920@cox.net separately. Koly will announce the council members following the vote.
Once the 5 members are elected by club members, then the 5 council members will select the treasurer since that individual will have to maintain the club account with the bank. The 5 council members will help in continuing to grow and support the best interests of the AZLRO club.
