With all of the 2011 Rally's trails available on a mobile device via ViewRanger, our Trail Leaders had a great resource that provided great topographic mapping, buddy locations, and more.

From the ViewRanger web site:

ViewRanger is used by off-road drivers because it's not a "turn-by turn" sat nav.

ViewRanger won't tell you to turn left in 500 yards, but will give you detailed topographic premium mapping, with rights of way marked on them. You'll get your GPS mapped location visible on-screen and waypoint based navigation to make up your own mind as to how to reach your goal.

With ViewRanger you can:

• Always see your mapped location on screen (even without mobile coverage)
• Record your track – the path you have travelled, including distance, speed etc
• Share your real-time location with friends using BuddyBeacon
• Plan a route or import a GPX file from third party software
• Navigate your route with alarms to alert you at waypoints and if you veer too far off course.
