11 vehicles came out to celebrate one of the big birthdays (the kind that end in zero) and ran Box Canyon via Dragonbacks.

Steve O's big birthday weekend started off on Friday night with a groovy gala set in the 60s. Costumes were required, and only a couple guests disappointed.

Along with all the AZLRO regulars, Steve had a bevy of guests visiting from overseas. On the day of the trail run, the guests were treated to rides in a variety of vehicles to take in some of the beautiful Arizona desert scenery. While it was a bit hot for natives, the guests seemed to take the temperatures in stride. After enduring 100 degree temperatures and a perfectly cloudless blue sky, they were pleasantly surprised with ice cream and popsicle treats after lunch, provided by Joanne and her LR4.
