RRC Jack Handle Relocation

4 years 2 months ago #8323 by azarmadillo
I wish I could claim this idea as mine, as I think it's brilliant. I noticed it on Glenn's truck on Saturday when we were installing his shocks and springs.

I had previously removed the jack handle mounts from the back of my RRC to make room for a Pelican Case in that space so the jack handle needed to be relocated. I usually wedged under the spare tire which certainly isn't the safe place for it in the event of an accident. The jack handle is much safer in this new location. Remove your jack handle clamps from the cargo area by drilling out or grinding off the rivets. Reinstall them under the hood using existing fender screws.
