October Meeting Minutes - 2016

Agenda
  • Old/Ongoing Business
    • council introduction
    • new member/1st time visitor intros
    • Annual BBQ - March 3-5th.
      • Friday night will feature a member "trail gourmet" cook-off - members will cook their best trail meal to provide appetizer-sized portions for BBQ attendees, and Prizes will be awarded to the top 3.
      • Saturday night the club will provide catered BBQ
      • Saturday will feature quarterly class about proper rigging techniques
    • AZLRO Christmas Toy Drive - no updates at this time
    • Live stream experienced technical difficulties - unable to provide
  • Membership Report
    • Currently at 85 members, include 7 lifetime members
    • Additional incentive to become a Lifetime Member - our special events like Canyon de Chelly or Hunts Mesa where spaces are limited, early registration will be open to Lifetime Members for a limited time before it opens up to the rest of the club.
  • Trail & Events Report
    • AZLRO Car show - Nov 12th at Rov-N-Techs
      • Club to provide food & beverages
      • Prizes awarded to different vehicle models/classes
      • 10am to 2pm
    • Thanksgiving Day Parade is a go. Chad will post detials about a candy-bag stuffing party/dinner so we have stuff to throw to the kids along the parade route.
    • Trail Leader Updates
      • Semi-Annual Trail Leader Appreciation Dinner tbh Jan 21st
      • Trail lottery/pick for TLs will occur at the dinner as well
    • Quaterly classes
      • Proper Rigging - March 4th
      • First Aid - July 1st
    • Quarterly Monthly meetings
      • These will supplement, not replace, regular monthly meetings
      • to be held on the 1st Saturday of the 1st month of the Qtr. See event page for dates. Locations tbd.
  • New Business
    • Still looking for monthly meeting venues for most of 2017- like to rotate South, North, East, West - like venues that are family friendly where we could also do our live video stream (ie: quiet).
    • Decal/T-shirt artwork submitted by Robert -see forum and Facebook and provide your thoughts/feedback
