Britza and finally agreed it was time for us to get another Land Rover. We were torn between '04 discovery and the LR3. We decided to go back to what we were familiar with and drove out to Southern California this past weekend.

This is what we found, '04 discovery pretty clean inside and out.

Can't wait to get.

I'm super excited to be back. But please be patient while we get it ready. Tires are soo soo expensive now and all the part prices have increase also. So for the first few months, we'll have to stick to the easy stuff. I don't even know if it's high enough for the stuff in Sedona.

Btw, did you guys know that Safety Devices has put the D2 racks back in production?

Welcome back. Is the 04 the one with the center diff lock and the 4.6 liter engine?

The center diff is the huge reason why we wanted the '04. The 4.6 definitely uses more fuel than our old '02, but the extra power is nice on the highway. I'm sure that will be a different story once the tires go on.

The Rover madness finally sucked you back in.... <!-- s:headbang: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smiley_headbang.gif" alt=":headbang:" title="headbang" /><!-- s:headbang: -->

Welcome back Erik.

Did you notice that the SD racks are now being manufactured in Poland? They've been back in business for a couple of years, but mostly supporting the Defender and D1 market. Glad to see them starting in on the DII stuff again. Shipping racks Stateside will be a pretty penny though. Hopefully there will be a big enough market here for them to start sending them over to a dealer/vendor on this side of the pond.

I figured they would be made somewhere in the UK. If I were to guess on price, I'm figure something between $2000 or $2500 shipped.

For the last three years I've built and blown up my latest money pit twice. So it's time to park it for awhile. Besides that hobby was mostly mine and Britza couldn't really enjoy what I got out of it. We've been going back and fourth about getting another Disco for the last year and half. I finally convinced her Friday after looking through the many adventures we had during our five year ownership. The sad thing is our current Disco is super clean and I'm not looking forward adding some pin striping.

So tell me about your new toy.
