Each new, unwrapped toy (suggested $10 value) earns you a raffle ticket to our huge prize raffle, featuring an estimated $30,000+ in prizes from top off-road brands.
No toys? No problem — raffle tickets will also be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefiting our 501(c)(3) charity, helping purchase toys and essentials for families in need through the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Toy Patrol and St. Vincent de Paul.

The Rat started in 1975 when the head Rat and lifelong 4×4 aficionado Mike Furrier decided he wanted more out of life than just selling tires in the family tire business. The first load of 4×4 products actually came from Dick Cepek who was a friend of the Furrier family from the tire business. Desert Rat Off Road Centers began in the showroom of one of the Jack Furrier Tire and Auto stores in Tucson, the quickly expanding business then moved into larger facilities to accommodate the mail-order business.

AZLRO usually cleans up in the raffle at this event! In 2024, we won more prizes than the Jeep club did combined with ALL their members that showed up. It was awesome! Superior vehicles win more raffle prizes! Come help one of the most worthwhile toy drives in the state. Tim and the crew at Desert Rat do an exceptional job in conjunction with Maricopa County Sheriff Department helping underprivileged and homeless kids all throughout the year with the toys collected.
