4-Wheel Drive Education starts with an understanding of how a 4-wheel drive (4WD) works, giving you insight into why your 4WD drive performs as it does. Bill’s experience as an ASE Master Truck Technician as well as numerous training aids teach you how to get the most out of your 4WD. <\/p>\n

Bill’s sense of humor and history, geographical expertise and environmental insight blend to give a greater sense of civilization as we know it relative to all prospectors, explorers, natives and dinosaurs who were on the trail before us! <\/p>\n

All of Bill’s back country trips, adventures and expeditions are experiential; multi-faceted journeys which can include side trips to ancient pictographs, viewing breathtaking canyons and spectacular wildflowers. Instead of the gridlock of city traffic, we might be slowed down by a sighting of mule deer or by mountain goats on the trail. <\/p>\n

Bill’s teaching abilities shine through everything he does. Each obstacle, stuck vehicle and piece of 4WD equipment becomes a discussion, a demonstration, and an opportunity for learning. Safety is fundamental. <\/p>\n

As a Trainer and Guide Bill is prepared for anything that may happen. A Wilderness First Responder with an extensive First-Aid kit, Bill can deal with injuries or evacuate a severely injured person. With 150 lb. tool kit & 40 years of mechanical experience, vehicle problems on the trail are handled in such a way that allows you to make it off the trail to safety. <\/p>\n

Bill’s understanding of group dynamics and personalities means that even in large groups, each person feels like a vital part of the trip and training rather than merely a participant. From first-time 4-wheelers to long-experienced trail riders, Bill’s training courses and trips encompass each person’s experience level and needs. <\/p>\n
