Before providing the voting information, the council wanted to provide a summary of some of things that we accomplished this past year.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0We have grown in numbers and active members which could only be accomplished by so many of you stepping up and participating in events and welcoming our new members. Here are some of the accomplishments for 2009:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-size: 10pt\">\n<li> 17 New Members, bringing our paid membership number to 53 <\/li>\n<li> Hugely successful 2nd Annual AZ Land Rover Rally <br \/> \n<ul> <\/p>\n<li> 57 trucks and 106 participants <\/li>\n<li> 36 sponsors <\/li>\n<li> Donated $250 to each the St. Vincent De Paul in Phoenix and Tucson during the holidays with some of the proceeds received from the rally <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li> First Responder First Aid Training attended by 8 club members <\/li>\n<li> Excellent representation at the Sol Society National Rally in Leadville, CO <\/li>\n<li> Attendees to Rover Rendezvous in Death Valley <\/li>\n<li> AZLRO featured in Land Rover World Magazine (Oct 2008 &#8220;Phoenix Nights&#8221;) <\/li>\n<li> Completed incorporation of the club to a not-for-profit organization <\/li>\n<li> Opened a bank account for AZLRO, with link to new business PayPal account (not-for-profit discount) <\/li>\n<li> Club Trail Runs planned and led by more different club members than ever before, including:<br \/> Jon Christensen <br \/> Pierre LeBlanc <br \/> Doug Lawyer <br \/> Matt White <br \/> Josh Jewett <br \/> Frank Rafka <br \/> Steve Kaufer <br \/> Steve Odgear <br \/> Mike McDonald <br \/> Jayson Stangel <br \/> Leo Martinez <\/li>\n<li> Four Peaks Clean Up Event <\/li>\n<li> Auto Jumble <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p> We are always looking for more help and if you are interested in being considered for the council, please send an email out to the listing to let everyone know you are interested.<\/p>\n<p> Here is the process that will be utilized to elect AZLRO council members for 2010. It is the same process as the last 2 years:<\/p>\n<p> Each current club member will be allowed to vote by submitting up to 5 names for the AZLRO council. The five individuals with the most votes will be elected to the council. Koly will tally the votes. The voting will be allowed between 21 December 2009 and 08 January 2010. Please don&#8217;t be bashful about letting others know you are interested in being on the council, but it is not required as part of the voting process.<\/p>\n<p> <strong style=\"font-size: 12pt\">SUBMIT YOUR VOTE VIA EMAIL TO THE DEDICATED VOTING EMAIL ADDRESS:<br \/> <a href=\"mailto:council@azlro.org?subject=Council%20Vote\">council@azlro.org<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p> <strong>YOU MUST INCLUDE YOUR NAME WHEN SUBMITTING YOUR 5 VOTES OR YOUR INPUT WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE TALLY.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> The list of eligible members for the council are included following the jump. If you have any questions, please email Leo at <a href=\"mailto:martinez920@cox.net?subject=Council%20Vote%20Questions\">martinez920@cox.net<\/a> separately. Koly will announce the council members following the vote.<\/p>\n<p> Once the 5 members are elected by club members, then the 5 council members will select the treasurer since that individual will have to maintain the club account with the bank.
