Smasher Canyon

This is an extreme trail for experienced drivers and well equipped vehicles only. Minimum equipment includes 33″ tires and locking differentials. The Smasher Canyon loop will offer rocky challenges and plenty of chances to push you and your vehicle to its limits. Most obstacles have options so you can choose your difficulty level.

This trail leads out of a stream near Clarkdale (backside of Mingus Mtn just past Jerome). The lower section is easier. After the mid-point turn-out, it gets fairly gnarly and ends in a nasty hill climb up a waterfall that even with dual lockers, may reject many.

General Location: Approx. 5 miles east of Clarkdale, AZ and approx 3 miles north of Hwy 89A between Cottonwood and Sedona.
