This moderate trail, has a few difficult sections making it challenging for stock vehicles without rock stacking and driver skill. The highlights of Sandman Road are the beautiful views in the surrounding areas along the trail and access to the OHV trails within it. This trail really is a photographers playground. Making a single day on the trail or, a multiple day is very easy to do using any number of the nearby and connecting trails. There are a number of fun side trips located within this area including the Cottonwood Canyon Petroglyphs, Reymert Mine, Ajax Mine, or even a brief hike to Martinez Cabin, Canyon, and Mine just to name a few.
